Seit 117 Jahren wird in London täglich der Silberpreis festgelegt. Der Mechanismus zur Bestimmung des Goldpreises ist ebenfalls fast 100 Jahre alt. Doch die „Price Fixes“ für die Edelmetalle gelten als intransparent und schwer nachvollziehbar. Zum 15. August gibt es deshalb einen neuen Silberpreis-Fix, auch der Goldpreis soll zum Ende des Jahres reformiert werden.
