Finanzplatz London: Die Deutsche Bank spielt schon mal den "Brexit" durch

“Brexit”: Es ist ein Stichwort, das vielen Londoner Bankern insgeheim Bauchschmerzen bereitet. 2016 oder spätestens 2017 sollen die Briten darüber abstimmen, ob ihr Land Mitglied der Europäischen Union bleibt oder nicht. Für London, Europas wichtigsten Finanzplatz, könnte die Abstimmung unkalkulierbare Folgen haben. Die Banken versuchen schon jetzt, die möglichen Konsequenzen für ihre Geschäftsaktivitäten im Vereinigten Königreich abzuwägen.

Die Deutsche Bank beginnt nun als erstes Institut im Zusammenhang mit dem EU-Referendum öffentlich mit der Standortprüfung. Wie ein Sprecher gegenüber der “Welt” sagte, hat die Bank eine Arbeitsgruppe ins Leben gerufen, die die möglichen Folgen eines britischen EU-Austritts für die Geschäfte der Bank untersuchen soll.
